Passion and Praise

It’s been a couple weeks now since worship leaders gathered from all over to sing together, share ideas, and be trained on how to better lead our congregations in powerful worship every Sunday. The theme of the conference was “The Passion“. (Side note: CLICK HERE to listen to some of the classes and teaching at the conference.)

A day before the conference started we were working through details of the conference (and the ILC, which was held concurrently) and my friend Tony Martin insisted we needed to come up with a new song for the weekend. So there in my hotel room, Tony, Ross and I put this song together, called “Passion and Praise.”

Here is a video of us presenting the song, as well as one of Ross singing it on his own. (Side note – I made a video at the conference of a few singers singing it, but lost it due to hard drive problems – my apologies if you were one of those singers I recorded.)

Passion and Praise – lyrics and chords

PASSION AND PRAISE

Zeal for your house will consume me
Your Spirit has taken control
Nothing on earth can compare to you
I surrender all

And with all of my heart, and with all of my mind
And with all of my soul and my strength
I will call on your name, all your glory proclaim
I will worship with passion and praise

Zeal for your house will consume me
I’m telling the world who you are
You are the light that a dark world needs
You are the morning star

And with all of my heart, and with all of my mind
And with all of my soul and my strength
I will call on your name, all your glory proclaim
I will worship with passion and praise

And praise (and praise)
We glorify (we glorify)

  1. How does that last breakdown bit in the written lyrics go? I don’t think either video showed that part. Thanks!

  2. Justin Avery says:

Are there chords available? I looked on the supplement from the conference but i did not see them there….
