In Your Grace

Happy Monday! I’m sharing a song today by one of my favorite songwriters, Cora Craig! In the video I share quite a bit of the scriptural background; here are a few of the verses I reference and Cora’s lyrics.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light,

we have fellowship with one another,

and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

— I JOHN 1:7

I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses

so that Christ’s power may rest on me…

For when I am weak, then I am strong.

   — 2 COR 12:9-10

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to

sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in

every respect has been tempted as we are,

yet without sin.

 —HEB 4:15

[Jesus angry?  See Mark 3:5; Jesus frustrated?  See Mark 9:19]

Let us therefore come boldly  to the throne of grace,

that we may obtain mercy,

and find grace to help in time of need.

 —HEB 4:16

IN YOUR GRACE
(Cora Craig)

Save my soul
I’m in your grace
You turn your face towards me
With me now
When I stumble you still save me somehow

Lord, move those mountains
Hear me when I call
Draw me deeper
Catch me when I fall
Move those mountains
Hear me when I call
Draw me deeper
Catch me when I fall

You see it all
Nowhere to hide
Lord use my faults
You know what’s inside
You see it all
Nowhere to hide
Lord use my faults
You know what’s inside

Move those mountains
Hear me when I call
Draw me deeper
Catch me when I fall
Move those mountains
Hear me when I call
Draw me deeper
Catch me when I fall

(Instrumental)

Move those mountains
Hear me when I call
Draw me deeper
Catch me when I fall
Move those mountains
Hear me when I call
Draw me deeper
Catch me when I fall

Save my soul
I’m in your grace
And you turn your face towards me
With me now
When I stumble you still save me somehow
