Greater Love

Hey guys, happy Monday!  I am hoping this summer to give a facelift to this site, reorganize everything, provide better access to past articles and posts.  Also hoping to get more consistent with sharing songs.  I actually do have a few new worship songs I’ve been working on.  Also an alternative rock album I’m about to release that’s a totally different project category.   Anyway, telling you I’m gonna do it will help me to get it done.  And thank you for those of you that give me encouragement every once in a while that you read these articles or share these posts and songs — definitely motivates me to keep going.

Today I wanted to share a great new congregational song by a trio of amazing musicians and worship leaders from the Denver Church of Christ — Travis Moore, Ksam Perkins, and Aubrey Okuchaba.  The song is based on Colossians 1.  I love the theology of it, and thinking about how Jesus brings God near to us.  God’s “fullness dwells in bodily form” in him (Col 1:19, 2:9).  I love how these lyrics put it: Hidden mystery / Now inside our reach / Rising up to shine / King of universe and time.

Here is a video of us introducing the song to our church last Sunday.  A studio version of the song, performed by Travis, Ksam, and Aubrey will be available on Spotify and other streaming platforms within the next few days…
